Pendants

Pendants — Conversations Between Gemstone and Glass

Glass is employed at high temperatures to envelop gemstone. Each pendant creates a dialogue between the glass and the gemstone - conversations frozen in time, forged by heat. Some gemstones melt into the glass, creating bubbles as they become one. Others generate veiling and fissures as they push and pull against each other. Each pendant is hand drilled, set with a sterling silver hole bezel, and coated with an archival sealant, adding additional protection from the wear and tear of life. Each piece is named after a submarine volcano.

Conversation Between Pearl and Glass

Pearl: Where are you?

Glass: I’m here. I feel you moving away

Pearl: Not away, just down.

Glass: What’s down?

Pearl: Breaking down. Are you?

Glass: Maybe. Where are you?

I think we’re just one.
